About

Biomedical and translational researcher with 8+ years of experience, combining strong expertise in experimental biomedical sciences with increasing exposure to translational and multidisciplinary project environments. Currently completing a MBA, with a strong interest in transitioning toward clinical implementation and medical technology roles where scientific knowledge is translated into real-world healthcare impact. My experience has involved experimental design, data analysis and coordination of research activities within collaborative scientific teams across international environments. I have also introduced and implemented experimental methodologies acquired during international research stays into laboratory workflows, contributing to capability development and strengthening experimental consistency across projects. This background has strengthened my ability to work across disciplines, manage complex scientific information and contribute to structured, goal-oriented research projects in dynamic research environments. It has also developed my capacity to operate in structured, multi-stakeholder settings, balancing scientific execution with broader project objectives. Particularly motivated by environments that connect science, healthcare and industry through structured project delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Main projects: Project (PI18/00837), “Rituximab induces an early re-assessment of the immune and vascular systems in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Rheumatoid Arthritis”. Translational multicenter study that investigate changes in serologic parameters following B-cell depletion by in vivo RTX treatment in SLE and RA patients, as well as RTX in vitro effects on the activity of other immune cells and the vascular endothelium. This study was supported by grants from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (PI18/00837), and co-financed by the Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional de la UE, the Regional Health System (ref. PI‐0285‐2017) and the Spanish Inflammatory and Rheumatic Diseases Network (RIER). https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31347786/ Project: "Beneficial effects of CoQ10 in patients with autoimmune diseases". Double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial which analyses the effects of ubiquinol in Antiphospholipid Syndrome patients. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29545345/ Tasks: •Designed and performed translational studies on immune-related disorders using patient blood samples. •Isolated immune cells and analyzed serological, genetic and microRNA expression profiles before and after CoQ10 treatment. •Identified potential microRNA biomarkers associated with therapeutic response. •Performed statistical analysis and data interpretation using SPSS and GraphPad Prism.
