As a Senior Procurement Specialist, it is my responsibility to ensure that the neccessary products and services to run Movistar business are being purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions. An important aspect of my role is seeking maximum value for the company and its business units, through time and cost agreements while working with technology advanced products.

The company operates in Spain, Europe and Latin America and offers integrated data transmission solutions for large companies. Telefonica VSAT service is a broadband IP connectivity solution that provides connectivity to IP networks via satellite and complements the connectivity options in places in which other broadband technologies don’t reach.
In 1995, Unisource described itself as “the first true pan European telecommunications company offering services to companies in Europe”. Data communication, satellite links and advanced telephony services were supplied “through a single contact and contract”. Unisource had its own European network developed with digital high speed connections. In 1996, Unisource included Unisource Business Networks, Unisource Satellite Services, Unisource Mobile, Unisource Card Services, Unisource Carrier Services and Unisource Information Services. The head office was located in Zürich, it had 3,300 employees by the end of 1996 and revenues of 1.4 billion dollars that year.
