Served in various positions such as Project Manager, Design Manager, Project Engineer, and Office Engineer. Successfully helped administer the three Base Realignment And Closure (BRAC) projects at Fort Detrick, Maryland along with other military construction projects from 2010 to 2014. From 2007 to 2009, administered phases of the military works construction program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Solved and directed the resolution of difficult construction management and technical problems utilizing a practical knowledge of construction principles, techniques and methods. From 2006 to 2007, provided design management support for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects by preparing scopes of services for the A-E, guided projects through the design and review process and prepared budgets and schedules. From 2004 to 2006, served as Project Manager for projects totaling more than $150 million worth of construction vital to the Afghan National Army and U.S. interests of establishing a secure environment in Afghanistan. Primary duties included managing all aspects of contract preparation to the point of award/procurement and acting as the focal point for the project delivery team. Drafted RFPs, financially managed all projects, drafted and adhered to the PMP, conducted pre-proposal conferences, and coordinated between all stakeholders to include the government of Afghanistan, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force and Design-Build contractors. Deployed to Afghanistan three times serving as PM for Design-Build construction projects throughout Afghanistan to include the construction of Afghan National Army brigade sites, Intelligence and Presidential Security Compound, Regional Ammunition Supply Points, a runway in Kandahar, and humanitarian projects to construct refugee housing and renovate the Rabia-e-Balkhi Women’s Hospital in Kabul. Assignments involved high visibility projects that were under tight timelines for preparation, award, and construction.
