• Working as a freelance Site Assistant for two months contracted to Mark Griffiths & Associates Ltd., on an Iron Age/Roman British site in North Yorkshire. • Responsibilities included definition and excavation of features, recording of plans and sections, and the filling out of context sheets to a high standard.
• Three weeks experience as a trench supervisor at the Teffont Summer Field School. • Providing training in excavation and recording of archaeology to archaeology students. • Responsible for deciding excavation strategy based on interpreting stratigraphic relationships. • Ensuring all paperwork, including plan and section drawings, context sheets and environmental sample sheets, was completed on time and to the standard required.
