I lead and inspire the German Business Development team at Trina Solar ISBU, the global solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) arm of Trina Solar, to develop, construct and operate utility-scale photovoltaic power plants and battery storage projects in Germany. With more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, venture capital, and project finance, I have a proven track record of developing and implementing low-cost business growth strategies, sourcing and negotiating landmark deals, and optimizing asset portfolios in the renewable energy sector. My mission is to leverage my expertise in finance, out-of-the-box problem-solving, and international business development to create value for TS ISBU and its stakeholders, while supporting a sustainable development and a green transition. I am passionate about using technologies to improve productivity. particularly AI, and life in general, and I enjoy leading and motivating teams to achieve challenging goals. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and German, and have a basic understanding of Croatian. I am eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities, especially in disruptive and innovative fields.
In this role, I am responsible for building our German renewable energy portfolio (🎯 1+ GW), initially comprising solar/PV and 🔋, and #hiring the 🇩🇪 project development team. Development of new business unit focusing on eMobility (buses, trucks, large & special purpose vehicles), Second Life batteries, fuel cells and hybrid engines, through organic and external growth
Advising, managing and structuring of equity funding (strategic/corporate investors, business angels, venture capital) for German cleantech startup Poligy GmbH, owner of patented bipolymer-based waste heat harvesting technology. Negotiation of patent and licensing contracts.
