Drove an enterprise SG&A optimization project leading 8 sub-project teams as Program Lead. I engaged to develop the roadmap with all stakeholders, guided and obtained steering from the executive board members as well as preparation and implementation tracking of all measures. The project team, that I headed involved >15 management roles. I was responsible for the results, the team performance, monitoring and managing the project budget and ensuring the efficient use of resources. With detailed reports and presentations the steering committee was provided with the necessary information for decision-making. Oversaw the Business Process Outsourcing project, managing a user base of 3000 employees for indirect goods and services, with an annual spend of 120mCHF, focusing primarily on operations in Germany and Switzerland. Developed the procurement process for the "Industrial Construction" business field at the Group level. Established efficient and standardised procedures and introduced an eProcurement solution to enhance procurement effectiveness and drive cost optimisation.
Leading the project procurement team of seven FTEs for the Central area (Bern, Basel, Luzern, and Aargau), with a total annual budget of 400 million CHF. Execution of strategic measures supported the team to contribute with additional cost reductions of 2.4 million CHF throughout the course of the time. Prioritised team goals and ensured them were met despite a capacity deficit caused by the absence of two full-time employees. Maintaining a rigorous attention to compliance standards, satisfying internal and external criteria on a constant basis.
Leading the "Value Creation Plan (VCP)" initiative with 15 sub-projects and a team of 25 individual contributors as program manager, under sponsorship of the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO). Focusing on defining categories, generating and implementing cost savings and process optimisations as critical components of the Global Procurement Excellence strategy. Within the specified time frame, the VCP contributed with P&L efficiency savings of 25mCHF, driving financial improvements through effective cost management strategies. Building fundament for professional procurement department that included procurement, supply chain, and logistics, heading a team of two full-time employees (FTE) (supply chain) and four full-time employees (decentralised logistics) with an annual expenditure of 80 million CHF, excluding energy purchase (which was managed separately). I created a detailed business case, road map, and process underpinnings to guide the procurement function's formation and growth. Managed change management initiatives, notably within the operational sections, to ensure seamless transitions and successful acceptance of new procedures and practises. Taking over business responsibility for the SAP R/3 module MM and key responsible for in the implementation of the MM module with SAP S/4 HANA, which aided the organization's digital transformation path. I coordinated the implementation of a mobile warehouse logistics app using SAP Fiori, which facilitated simplified operations and enhanced logistics management. I managed technical aspects of public bids, guaranteeing compliance and optimising value via successful contract negotiations. In charge of worldwide category management for the "Mechatronics" and "Electronics" categories, handling 50 suppliers and a total yearly spend of 5 million CHF. Additionally in charge of project procurement in the product generation shift "AV4" within the commodity group "Electronic-Manufacturing Services," and I built strategic project alliances while developing a demand-driven supply chain approach for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. I contributed in driving and supporting the development of Corporate Procurement structures, as well as actively contributing to process refinement and optimisation. I planned and coordinated worldwide cost-cutting programmes, negotiating beneficial outcomes with partners in the United States and Japan.
