The voluntary organization Hulpdienst Nijmegen offers help to lonely elderly, residents with disabilities and people with degenerative neurological diseases such as dementia and Parkinson disease. As an employee in the role of coordinator, I was responsible for a good fit between volunteers and those in need of help, recruiting new volunteers and contributing to get visibility for Hulpdienst Nijmegen.
As a project manager I was partly responsible for setting up a new mortgage company (Vista Mortgages) within the Rabobank Group. Until the launch of the new company I was working on the identification of the customer preferences, on developing a marketing strategy and the development of the website with different stakeholders.
In the role of financial advisor I was responsible for private customers of the bank and giving them advice about private services like mortgages, investments and saving options. I was also responsible for the acquisition of new private clients for the Rabobank.
During the Young Professional Traineeship I have been working on my personal development, followed professional courses and gained practical experience at a local bank.
During my time in Tshwane (Pretoria), I organised an international congress about local government, I was supporting the implementation of the programs of the Centre for Research and Advice (CMRA) and developed a social housing toolkit for municipalities in South Africa.
Supported the management of the Local Government Capacity Program South Africa , funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among others, I was busy with developing and controlling budgets and communicating with partners like municipalities.
During my internship I had different supporting tasks in the development and implementation of projects in the field of local government, democratization and capacity building in developing countries.
