I'm an expert in Swedish and spoken interaction. My work experience includes research and university teaching. I am a University Teacher of Swedish at University of Helsinki, teaching various courses on Swedish. My research interests are English influence on the Nordic languages as well as multilingualism in the linguistic landscape and business names on Iceland. My post doc was in a project (IVIP) comparing communicative patterns of spoken Sweden Swedish and Finland Swedish. My PhD thesis was an interactional study on prosody in Finland Swedish. I have given courses in Faroese at Helsinki University 2004, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016. I also have given courses at Kulturkontakt Nord (Nifin) in 2009, Åbo Akademi University in 2005, Pohjola-Norden in 2013, University of Tampere in 2016. The courses concentrate on language, but include also literature and society.
I have also taught Swedish at Svenska social- och kommunalhögskolan vid Helsingfors universitet, from August 2004 until December 2007, and at Helsingfors svenska arbetarinsitut, September 2006 - April 2007. The courses include Academic Writing, Oral Presentation Skills, Business Communication, Swedish for Finnish Speakers and Swedish for Foreigners.
