With a background in the translational and clinical aspects of immunotherapy and biomarkers, my work has encompassed scientific concept development, strategy development, various forms of scientific communication and international project as well as team management. I offer a combination of refined communication, leadership and interpersonal skills coupled with the capacity to excel in teams as well as independently. Last but not least, I have operated successfully across cultures and geographical boundaries, which has greatly enriched my personal and professional development.
• Co-developed the scientific component of the biomarker strategy for phase 1 clinical testing of a first-in-class bispecific T-cell engager indicated for solid tumours with the clinical development team • Scientific subject matter expert for translational immunology and immuno-oncology (biomarkers, cancer biology, novel druggable targets) • Unit representative in scientific due diligence teams/think-tanks evaluating new targets, assets, combination therapies and strategic R&D partnerships within the immuno-oncology space • Introduced and led the rollout of an AI-based R&D accelerator platform (Causaly) in the organisation • Scientific leadership committee member for an R&D collaboration with a clinical-stage biotech for antibody-based cancer immunotherapies • Participation in and provision of scientific input to cross-functional clinical drug development project teams (chiefly immuno-oncology) • Preparation and review of R&D study reports and scientific publications as well as relevant scientific sections in IB, clinical study protocols, IND modules, patent filings
• Senior member of a preclinical R&D unit focused on RNA therapeutics encoding antibody-based drugs • Preparation and review of relevant scientific sections in regulatory documents (IB, clinical protocols, CTD modules) • Preparation and review of R&D study reports, publications, patent filings and other scientific communication material • Active participation in cross-functional core project teams in drug development programmes with provision of scientific input
• Independent scientific reviewer for biomarker/immunotherapy´/translational immunology-related studies for The Lancet Oncology and Respiratory Medicine, Nature Scientific Reports, Frontiers series • Provision of translational research consulting services in immunotherapy (cancer & infectious disease) and biomarkers
• Senior member of a clinical/translational unit developing T cell-dependent immunotherapies for solid tumours • Developed novel immunotherapy & biomarker assessment concepts for cancer and infectious disease • Worked on joint translational/clinical projects with oncologists in Portugal, Germany and the US • Co-conceptualised and led scientific publication writing, clinical study protocols and clinical trial grant applications for solid tumour as well as infectious disease immunotherapy • Mentored and coached lab staff, masters and doctoral students as well as a postdoc to develop patient-oriented immuno-oncology and biomarker projects • Independent scientific reviewer for Lancet Oncology, Lancet Respiratory Medicine, Nature Scientific Reports, Frontiers series
• Member of a clinical/translational immunotherapy R&D unit focused on solid tumours and chronic infectious diseases • Co-investigator and immunology team lead for a public-private translational/clinical project to evaluate patient-derived tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes and biomarkers for glioblastoma adoptive cell therapy • Led a TB vaccine project funded by the Swedish Heart and Lung Foundation and a venture capitalist firm in collaboration with AERAS TB Foundation and Infectious Disease Research Institute, Seattle • Worked closely with clinicians in Europe and Africa for early-phase clinical trial design and satellite biomarker studies involving patients with lung infection/inflammation • Represented the unit at local and international immunotherapy meetings • Co-conceptualised and led the writing of publications, clinical study protocols and clinical trial grant applications (cancer and infectious disease immunotherapy)
