I am currently the Head of Year 9 and have experience teaching the English National Curriculum and PyP/IBDP IB Programs. I have held several leadership roles throughout my career including: School sports Coordinator, Leadership and Volunteering Coordinator (both for the London borough of Redbridge), directing and supporting the delivery of PE and Sport for 2 secondary Schools, 5 Primary schools, a special school and a pupil referral unit; Whole School Head of Faculty for PE (including Athletics Director responsibilities) for a very successful International school; Head of House, incorporating the development and implementation of student leadership. I would say my leadership style enables my team to succeed and be recognized for their achievements in and out of our department. I promote a collaborative and positive atmosphere in which to work. I have an overall vision of what I want but it is with the support and input of my team that we are able to succeed and thrive. I am supportive and open and encourage my team to achieve in conjunction with a schools development plan and vision. My roles as Sports Coordinator and Head of Faculty afforded me the opportunity to organise many regional and international sporting events. I organized the first ever school martial arts display for Redbridge, many Sportshall Athletics, Athletics and basketball tournaments and a FOBISIA Games event, including organizing accommodation, transport, visas, medical provision, advertising, sponsorship, merchandising and publishing around the event. The event consisted of 4 sports (swimming, football, athletics and basketball) over 3 days with over 300 students. In my last year in Bangkok I was able to lead teams to victory in many disciplines: u13,15 and senior Athletics champions, 6 out of 8 age group champions in basketball (with the others coming 2nd), 8 out of 10 teams football champions, Sailing champions, senior badminton champions and regional swim champions.
