I am an experienced and skilled sales advisor with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Having worked in both social and retail sectors, I have developed strong communication skills, particularly when working in teams, delivered and exceeded on Company targets and am comfortable working in high pressure environments. Through my current role at Debenhams, I’ve identified that my true passion is in sales and customer service. I would now like to progress my career in retail, through seeking new challenging opportunities in this field.

    In a large department store, with many departments, it is my responsibility to off customer’s guidance and advice in selecting the product they require, to ensure they get the most value from their purchase. Having worked in both the Home and Jewellery department, my key duties include: Processing customers sales, in addition to assisting with online sales, when products were not in store. Opening and closing departments. This includes collecting deliveries to set up the shop floor and following store procedure to securely shut down cash registers, ensuring all sales are accounted for upon closing. Promote Debenhams store cards, with targets to sign customers up to them. I continue to achieve my customer accounts targets and was recognized for this effort as one of the top employees in the store. Selected to participate in the ‘Buddy Program’ where I was responsible for training new employees and was their immediate report with regards to support in the job.

    As a councillor, myself and another colleague were responsible for large groups of children. Key tasks included organizing a variety of games and sports/activities that entertained the group, ensuring that they were engaged and had a memorable camp experience. As a member of the kitchen staff at Ashbury Hills, I was required to cook all meals for the children at the camp. Within this role I had to work as part of a team, deliver all meals to stander and on time, plus maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen at all times.
