I was responsible for planning and organizing production in a sheet metal factory. I was responsible for the ordering as well as the correct material arriving at the correct working stations. I was responsible for quality control of incoming material, and quality control of finished parts. Also under my responsibilities was the timely maintenance of equipment, and ordering of tooling and consumables needed for said equipment. And if necessary, making sure that corrective action was being implemented. I also had to liaise with top management once a week via production meeting. I was also responsible for the offline programming of CNC Punching and laser cutting machines.
My responsibilities included, setting up and running of Trumpf CNC punching and laser machinery, as well as the checking of orders against drawings attached to job cards, to see that the output was what was required. I also have extensive knowledge of Trumpf tooling and consumables.
