: Senior Specialist SSS Planning (July 2013 to date) I was requested to become part of the SSS Planning fraternity and fulfil the role of Section Manager by Heinrich Holt. (SSS OIS General Manager) I build the department from a neglected department to a well functioned, highly motivated department with a sense of belonging. • Manage all Shared Services planning teams(4 group leaders, 1 Specialist, 67 Planners and Planner Assistants) • OIS Planning office (2 Permit issuers, 1 Safety Officer, 15 Safety Watchers) • Responsibilities include the daily planning and all shutdown, G/O`s and turnaround planning of all the services department planning offices. Engineering Workshops (Machine shop, Valve shop, and Petrol & Diesel garage) Rigging Services, Overhead cranes and Motor pool. Civil Hub (Civil, AIP and Cherry Pickers), Resource hub, Planning Customer Services, Telecoms, Analysers, Brandspruit mine, Properties and Facilities hub. • Project leader during the 2013 shutdown (which was a great shutdown from a services department view point) • Manage service delivery to the various areas according to the Perform Work Management Procedure • • Integration with clients. • Budget control. • Senior Standby duties. • Manage the BBS, IMS and Livelink systems. • Responsible for SHE of SSS Planning. • Coordinate cost being invoiced by Planning Customer Service. • Various improvement projects (Customer Services improvement, Cranes and Rigging team improvement, Resource hub improvement, AIP and Cherry Picker changes and improvement).
: Group Leader Civil Hub AIP (July 2011 – July 2013) • • Responsible for all day to day management of AIP hub • Direct reports 12 QA/QC officers • Acting as Section Leader as and when required on a regular basis. • Project leader during Shut down periods. • Management of change process (on non-process equipment). • Incident investigation • Project work (establishment of south eastern work area for AIP service providers), Capital application for new cherry pickers. • Root cause analysis. • Integration with clients and customers. • Coordination of newly contracted service providers into the AIP hub. • Budget control. • Senior Standby duties • Contract Management of all AIP Service providers and Cherry Picker service provider, and contract amendments. • Coordination of cherry picker business with 2 coordinators and 8 operators. • Coordinate and assist with the payment of service providers in conjunction with Commercial and Service Entry Management. • Responsible for SHE statistics and performance of service providers.
• Assist Section leader on all day to day management of Rotating Equipment and personnel.(5 foreman 25 Fitters, 8 Maintenance Operators) • Acting as section leader as and when required on a regular basis. • Project leader during Shut down periods for Rotating Equipment. • Responsible to manage the MOC process for Turbo 2. • PRA, VRA, • Auto CAD drawings. • Project work. WRF project, installation of HV Turbo blowers. Most recent project upgrading of 60MW Steam Turbine with Siemens.(completed 2 units) • Root cause analysis. • Integration with clients and customers. • Budget control • Senior Standby duties • MOC process on Rotating Equipment • Development of quality control documentation (QCP) for centrifugal pumps, and the improvement and updating of turbine, compressors and blower QCP`s.
