About

After 15 years as a practicing attorney, and influenced by years of martial arts training, I went back to school for a four year program in Oriental Medicine in Boulder, CO. The degree covered the full range of traditional Chinese medical theory and techniques, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, cupping, moxabustion, and over 800 hands-on clinical hours. At the same time, I interned in a clinic with Dr. Jeffrey Dann, a world renowned specialist in Japanese style acupuncture. I also spent those four years continuing my training in tai chi chuan, bagua zhang, and xingyi chuan with Dr. Marcus Brinkman. After school, I moved to Shanghai, China, where I divided my time between working at Shu Guang Hospital, the Acupuncture and Moxabustion Research Clinic, and training tai chi with Ma Jiang Lin, grandson of the founder of Wu Style tai chi Chuan. After a year in China, including a short time in Taipei, Taiwan, studying bagua zhang with Luo De Xiu, I returned to Little Rock and opened my clinic, Evergreen Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, P.A. I just celebrated eleven years in this clinic of helping people of all types and ages. I continue my acupuncture training with Dr. Richard Tie Fu Tan of Taiwan (now San Diego), and have been studying his Acupuncture Balance Method with him for eight years.

I treat all types of pain and many diseases/syndromes. I work with patients directly or in association with their physicians. Most patients who come to my clinic have already had the full gamut of Western medicine (tests, drugs, etc.), and are looking for a simple, effective form of relief. I have had a four-year course of study in the US, with an additional year in China, and I continue to study with a Taiwanese acupuncture master several times a year. I also teach Wu style tai chi chuan and qigong (Inner Flow Tai Chi at Unity Martial Arts), and have been studying with Master Johnny Lee for 22 years.
