I have over 18 years progressive aircraft maintenance experience and have gained extensive experience in my career by working in both commercial and corporate aviation in the following areas: Heavy Maintenance, Line Maintenance and Maintenance Control (MCC). Most of my experience has been on regional airliners and mid to large size business jets. I have had the privilege to work in several countries and obtain new licences under different Civil Aviation Authorities as well as experience differently run MRO’s and Operators. Through my career I have worked with several maintenance management software programs, I have enjoyed many trips as a flying spanner and doing aircraft recoveries away from base. Working as a Lead/senior mechanic has given me a great sense of achievement and pride being successfully able to coordinate a crew and project and return an aircraft to service or to a customer as a serviceable, safe and quality product. Global 5500 Maintenance Director for a private client. Assigned AME under the management company of the aircraft. One of the many responsibilities is preforming all maintenance activities on our Global 5500 as well ensuring the aircraft meets or exceeds regulatory and management company standards and requirements. Additionally but not limited to, Maintenance tracking and planning, warranty work, grooming oversight, etc.
Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Base) Responsible for base maintenance on Embraer 135/145 aircraft, level B4 with full release, TAC’s and Taxi. Conduct work in a safe and effective manor while producing the best quality work as well as inspection of work carried out on the C-Checks including duplicate and RII’S. Ensure all aircraft documentation is correct and aircraft released as per company MOE and Applicable CAA and 3rd party company requirements.
Base Maintenance on Embraer 120 Brasilia aircraft. Rebuild of an Embraer 120 that had been on ground for a year plus.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Tours) Full release to service of Embraer 145 type level B3, tested and found Competent in Level 5 FTD simulator for taxing and thrust assurance checks. Ensuring all maintenance is carried out correctly, safely and aircraft are fully serviceable. Flight engineer duties to certain destinations. Carrying out aircraft maintenance, Inspections, Repairing, Trouble Shooting, Signing off and completion of all documentation. Dealing with aircraft AOG’s away from base and at base. Tour rotation between Maputo and Harare.
