As Vice Coordinator of Sports' Initiatives at AEIST, I actively contributed to organizing the Padel tournament and diverse student activities at Instituto Superior Técnico. AEIST, a historic student association founded to champion student interests and foster academic excellence, stands as a cornerstone of our institution's vibrant community. Committed to enriching student life, AEIST curates a dynamic array of extracurricular activities spanning sports, culture, and academics, nurturing a strong sense of unity and support among students with diverse interests.
I participated in a two-week internship, in DEQ labs, working with hemocompatible membranes used in blood purification. This involved manufacturing different membranes, testing them and comparing them to achieve conclusions about the efficacy of its use for purification processes.
The Global Management Challenge (GMC) is a strategic management competition. We competed as a team, developing various skills as team work, communication and problem solving and were able to learn and apply our management skills, directing our own fictitious company. In 2022, me and my team came in first place on the first eliminatory round, being eliminated just before the national finals. In 2023, we ended up in forth place, so we didn't get the chance to advance to the next phase of the competition.
