About

Ever since I started career, I always had the ambition to become the best in my trade and add value to wherever I am working on. Also, I am pleased when I can inspire others to develop the same ambitions. I love to work on innovation. Besides my daytime job, I completed a study Bachelor of Business Administration in 2019, with International Business as specialisation. Currently I work as a Solution Architect on the Core Banking Transformation programme within the IT Systems Wholesale & International (W&I) domain. This digital transformation programme will drastically rationalize both the IT landscape and Operations organisation for the Corporate Banking products Lending, Trade Finance, Cash Management, including Facilities and Collateral Management on a global scale. This programme sets the stage for innovation for the Corporate Bank. One of the innovations I'm involved with is a Blockchain initiative for the Trade & Commodity Finance Energy market, with the Komgo consortium we are a part of (www.komgo.io). I am responsible for the IT architecture, delivering an API management/integration platform for the programme and designing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines. Together with architects from the other domains within Rabobank, I am part of the API Guild, which focuses on providing API guidelines for the organisation as a whole. Besides the CBT programme I am working on the architecture of various other system within the W&I domain, like our Supplier Finance solution, the Structured Inventory Products system or the digitisation of the Commercial Engagement process. To sum it al up, a challenging, varied and most of all fun set of activities to work on in a very interesting environment!

Experience

      Dec 2017 - Present · 8 yrs 7 mos

My current points of focus are the digitization of the credit origination journey for Wholesale & Rural as well as the digitization of sustainability assessments to score the level of sustainability of our clients and to identify the level of climate & environmental risk and mitigants relevant to our Wholesale & Rural clients. For the credit origination journey, the biggest achievement is the go-live of a new IRB model for our corporate clients. Within the area Credit & Engagement I was part of an RFP to eventually select Mendix as the low-code application platform for our area, and have been working on standards and guidelines to scale out the usage of that platform in a secure and compliant manner, in line with enterprise standards. This also includes selecting and embedding the use of QSM (collaboration of SIG and Mendix) to fulfil our needs to deliver mature, maintainable and secure software. Before that, and after working on many architecture activities in my previous function I started workin as full-time Solution Architect in Rabobank's IT Systems Wholesale & International (W&I) domain. My main focus was the Core Banking Transformation (CBT) programme. This digital transformation programme will drastically rationalize both the IT landscape and Operations organisation for the Corporate Banking products Lending, Trade Finance, Cash Management, including Facilities and Collateral Management on a global scale. This programme sets the stage for innovation of the Corporate Bank. One of the innovations I'm involved in is a Blockchain initiative for the Trade & Commodity Finance Energy market. I was responsible for the IT architecture, delivering an API/integration platform to further digitalize the programme and designing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines. Besides this programme I am working on the architecture of various other system within the W&I domain, like our Supplier Finance solution or the Structured Inventory Products system.

  • Ymor (7 yrs 4 mos)
    • Expert Consultant
      Mar 2006 - Jun 2013 · 7 yrs 4 mos

Since 2006 I have worked at Ymor as expert consultant in the HP Software area. What I really liked is the diversity of the work I got to do at Ymor. Beside my 'normal' consultancy work in the performance and tuning area, I gave official HP trainings and I have been coaching the more junior collegues, so they could learn to excel in their jobs. Also, I often helped the marketing and communication department in creating standard service descriptions, standard product presentations, etc. One activity I also liked was to help out our pre-sales team in discussing how to approach potential new customers: in which direction can we add the most value to the customer, which pitfalls exists, etc. Finally I have been working on improving Ytune, Ymor's own tuning service, which can be used to gain insights in the internal workings of customer's applications.
