Working in the Energy and Sustainability sector since 2010, Martijn is a passionate senior leader, tech savvy and inspired to contribute to the transition to a more sustainable future. Martijn is Partner of Quintel, the company that succesfully created and maintains the Energy Transition Model. He is determined to accelerate the energy transition by guiding his clients in leveraging their strengths and navigate the complexities of the energy landscape. With a team of highly skilled colleagues he provide the quantitative analysis needed for strategic decision making. Next to his role at Quintel, Martijn is non-executive board member of Landlife Company. This Dutch scale-up company is leading in its sector of reforestation around the globe. Prior to Quintel, Martijn was Director Energy at Arcadis, a global engineering company. He was driving business from generation to end-use and realized projects under severe constraints, e.g. solving grid congestion, the realization of the hydrogen backbone and the business case of Offshore Wind. Before that, Martijn was Director Energy Markets and Strategy at DNV, an international knowledge and advisory company. He grew and developed this business across a wide range of energy strategy, market economics and decarbonization projects. Martijn has leadership experience from several board positions and followed the Erasmus non-executive board program. In the Benelux Energy sector, Martijn is a well-known thought leader and has published on topics like decarbonization strategies of the Dutch industry, hydrogen, Regional Energy Strategies and electric mobility. Always passionate about change, the projects Martijn manages himself are often of strategic importance and cover a wide variety of sensitive aspects. Multiple deliverables of these projects comprise public reports. In addition, he has drafted corporate strategies and strategy updates for multiple utilities across Europe including both generation and demand side business and innovation.

As supervisory board member, Martijn is guiding, soundboarding and challenging the management team of Land Life in a crucial stage of scaling up the business.
Martijn was Board member of REARC Energy, the joint venture between Rotterdam Engineering and Arcadis to realize the engineering projects of GasUnie, the Dutch Gas TSO.
Martijn was responsible for the Energy business focusing on the Dutch market.
Martijn was responsible assisting industry across Northwest Europe, Middle East and Africa on topics related to energy strategy, market economics and decarbonization projects.
In a rapidly changing environment, Martijn was asked to stabilize the team's business and guide this team of 10 professionals to a new and future-proof direction. Proud to see a steady growth starting!.
