During my career I have worked within different positions of the finance arena, in which I continuously improved the processes and facilitated/coached/guided others to do the same. In these positions I was able to manage (international) teams up to 75 staff members. Development of staff was/is an important aspect of my work. Working with individuals with different backgrounds, nationalities, cultures, etc. provides a great dynamic at which I stimulate the team members to share ideas and best practices and learn from each other. I believe that in this manner the set goals will be achieved in an effective and efficient manner at which the team members make use of each other strengths. Besides developing staff members through coaching and mentoring, I also enhanced several processes to be more effective and/or more efficient. Key is always to balance the amount of control needed and the flexibility in order to do business. During my career I have used (non) financial information to understand the processes feeding into the information and understand the persons working with these processes. By creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, the process improvements are realized. Teaching all sorts of PADI dive courses, from Discover Scuba Diving to Assistant Instructor, including various specialties, such as Deep diver, Enriched Air, Navigation, Drift diver, Equipment specialist and various others.
