For more than 18 years, Marlene Aquino has been a trailblazing leader spearheading ground-breaking change solutions addressing business and talent challenges.​ ​ Today, as Covington’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Marlene leads the firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives elevating our commitment and focus on inclusion and positioning the firm as a place to be for top talent.​ Prior to joining Covington, Marlene was the Chief Diversity Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton where she led the development of the firm’s next gen D&I strategy. Before stepping into this role, Marlene led multiple internal talent strategy initiatives to enhance the employee experience. Most notably, she was the executive sponsor and lead for the firm's first-of-its-kind internal mobility model, called the Accelerator. ​ ​ Before taking on these internal strategy roles, Marlene led large-scale, transformational change initiatives across US federal government, international governments and global commercial clients. Key among those client initiatives include the legislatively mandated program transformations, digital services strategies, fraud detection strategy and program implementation, and cyber breach mitigation and response. ​ ​ Marlene holds a master's degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary and a bachelor of arts in biology from Johns Hopkins University.
