Palmetto is a mission oriented not-for-profit system and is the dominant health care system in central South Carolina. 14,000 devoted team members, about 1500 physicians and a commitment to the broader community. Responsible for all clinical activities - all service lines, quality, safety, medical staff affairs, research and clinical trials, graduate medical education (16 residency programs and 16 fellowships), and more. Became even more exciting in late-2017 with formal partnership with Greenville Health System - now a total of 29,000 team members and about 3500 physicians - interesting times ahead
