About

I help offshore-wind developers, cable installers and marine contractors get subsea work done faster and cheaper — with less vessel time. Through FreeStar Subsea Services and Mark Offshore, I deliver cable protection, cable detection and burial assessment, ROV inspection, seabed clearance and subsea intervention across the North Sea — from the beach into the shallows and offshore. Our shallow-draft Subsea Survey Vessel Navicula Star and our proprietary Mattress Installation Tool (MIT) let us mobilise fast and replace multiple offshore spreads with one integrated solution. Recent work: rapid multi-technology cable survey on the COBRA interconnector for TenneT; 28 concrete mattresses installed at ~100 m in high current off Iceland; full seabed clean-up at Hollandse Kust Noord. The principle I run on: we reduce vessel time, not just tool cost. At €25k–€60k a day for a vessel, saving five to ten days is where contracts are won. Born and raised in a family shipyard, 25+ years in marine and offshore operations, and still happiest with a job to deliver and a team to do it with. Give me my marching orders and I’ll deliver — and I don’t take myself too seriously. Reach out: [email protected]
