Patent holder. 1997-2012: Significant contributions concerning the development and global registration of the antiepileptic drugs Trileptal and Rufinamide. 1999: Awarded as Novartis Distinguished Scientist. 1999-2003: Member of the Neuroscience Disease Area Management Team. 2005-2012: Global Animal Welfare Officer responsible for the Pharmaceuticals Division and the Novartis-associated Research Institutes (FMI, Basel; GNF, San Diego; NITD, Singapore; NVGH, Siena). Deputy of the Corporate Animal Welfare Officer responsible for all Novartis Divisions.
1978-1996: - Neuroscience research: focus on anxiety, sleep disorders and epilepsy. - Building up a center of excellence for preclinical epilepsy research. - Significant contributions concerning preclinical profiing and development of the antiepileptic drugs Trileptal and Rufinamide; Core Member of the respective International Project Teams. - Lecturer at congresses, author/co-author of publications.
