About

Writer, naval historian, social entrepreneur, carpenter, and grandfather. Based in the Endless Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, I’m happily semi-retired. I'm a gun owner, I support the 2nd Amendment, and I believe in common sense gun control. Three ongoing passions animate me today: restoration of the 122-acre family property on the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania, capturing the history of six World War I U-boats, U51-56, their captains, crews, builders and protagonists, and Folded Homes which provides environmentally appropriate and cost-effective solutions to human shelter needs. Non-fiction publication of Der Kapitän: U-Boat Ace Hans Rose (Amberley Press, 8/2018) Short-story fiction writing includes a story arc tracing events in the life of a native-American Indian alter-ego, Che ‘ok Ten. Thus far three episodes from his life are complete: The Spider Woman, The Bear Goddess, and The Passage of Dreams.
