Senior Controller role, covering - Planning processes (strategy, mid-term planning, budget) and forecasting - Monthly and annual closings (surveillance of accounting, P&L and sales reporting) - Business partnering (verifying business cases, strategic initiatives, business analysis) - Financial metrics and KPIs (creation, maintenance, interpretation), Dashboards - SQL queries
Responsible for all financial matters of that business unit, including monthly and annual closings, planning processes and their content, verification of business cases, sales reporting, proofing sales commissions, supporting strategic initiatives, support of the affiliates globally, transfer pricing - Creation of monthly financial Cockpits, incl. plan- and actual variance reports and financial reviews to the management and the board of directors - Independent implementation and supervision of the planning process and content (medium-term planning, budget and forecast) for the entire business unit - Introduction and maintenance of international intercompany billing (transfer pricing); execution of the function as transfer price coordinator for the business unit - Support of the business unit regarding the internal sales reporting (business review) - Support in regards to the creation and implementation of (new) business unit strategies - Check and verification of the business unit's sales commission calculations - Answering ad hoc requests in regards to different financial aspects - Implementation and maintenance of various controlling instruments like Contribution Margin Statements or Activity-Based Costing - Implementation of changes in the financial structures (master data in SAP and in the reporting) e.g. due to reorganizations - Contact person for all financial matters for the entire business unit, both internal and external (e.g. towards external auditors) - Heading the business unit’s controlling team - Member of the business unit's management committee
