I currently work as Senior Staff Product Manager for Strategic Projects HPLC at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Germering (Germany), where I take care of the roadmap and portfolio management for the long-term business success of the HPLC BU of Thermo Fisher Scientific. My key ownerships are a well-balanced mix of technology and business development by further evolving our portfolio, driving strategic Product Management projects (e.g. embedding a new factory in order and material flow processes) as well as competitive and market intelligence, strategic and key account pricing. I joined the former Dionex Corporation, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, in May 2010, as Solutions Manager for LC/MS, being responsible for UHPLC and LC/MS solutions marketing, and moved to the HPLC Product Management team at a position as Product Manager, LC Systems, 3 years later; latest, I headed a highly inspiring, skilled and motivated team of 3 fellows in Product Management starting April 2016; we owned the Product Lifecycle Management responsibilities for the Thermo Scientific Vanquish Horizon and Flex UHPLC Systems. I received my doctorate in analytical chemistry/separation science from the Saarland University in Saarbruecken (Germany) in 2004. I previously worked as Analytical Lab Head at Sanofi-Aventis (Chemical Development, Frankfurt/Main, Germany), and as Research Fellow at the Saarland University. My scientific work has always been focused on basic research and method development for UHPLC, HPLC-MS, CE and CE-MS techniques as well as integrated sample preparation. I'm proud to say that my career thus covers all aspect angles of separation sciences, from fundamental scientific research over the customer/application perspective to the product development/realization and life cycle management with a scientific instrument manufacturer.
