My interest for people was the starting point and it is still what drives me in photography- no matter if in people, architecture/industrial (humanly designed space) or landscape (the subjective perception of nature) photography. Creative, result oriented, social competence are the foundation of my work, whereas a profound knowledge in the history and technique of photography help me develop my goals. But in the end, what makes the difference is the ability to step back and improvise - because: things are always different from what they appear to be.
Conceptional strategy, planning and realization of photographic as well as multimedia and film projects from the idea to the final implementation. -Big focus on editorial photography for leading magazines mainly in german speaking countries (e.g. brand eins, chrismon, fluter, G&J, Greenpeace Medien, Holzmann Medien, k.west-Verlag, Le Parisien, Ringier SZ-Magazin Verlag, Wort&Bild Verlag, ZEIT Verlag,...) -Working worldwide for international agencies, companies and ngos (mainly reportage/people/industrial) for example Burson, BW-Stiftung, Fink&Fuchs, Geistlich, Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, Kindernothilfe, Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Kunststiftung NRW, MPM, Muelhausmoers, Panama, Tempus Corporate, Smith Berlin, Stan Hema...
teaching photography at the university of applied sciences in the department of design teaching students in photography for me mainly implys the development and support of their skills to form an heterogeneous class whith lots of discussion as well as friction. in my opinion a practical knowledge in planning and realizing big projects as well as a profound theoretical knowledge is not only helpful but even relevant to persist in an increaingly competetive market.
