Dr. Markus Ettl is a Distinguished Researcher and Senior Manager for AI Marketing Research at IBM’s Thomas J. Watson Research Center. He is one of the IBM Research pioneers in applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and cognitive technologies to a broad range of challenges in Commerce, starting from pricing optimization, to agile supply chains, to real-time personalization. His awards and commendations include the INFORMS Franz Edelman Award, the INFORMS Revenue Management & Pricing Practice Award, the AAAI Application Award and several IBM Outstanding Achievement Awards for inventions and technical accomplishments. He is an IBM Master Inventor and Member of the IBM Academy of Technology.
