Experience in the areas of Design for All and Assistive Technology, Disability Access or Barrier-free Design, standardization, major software projects and international project management. Since more than 20 years I am working as Accessibility Consultant at the Siemens Accessibililty Compentence Center. Due to the dayly work with colleges with different disabilities I am aware of the problems and barriers for persons with disabilities in the modern Information and Communication society. Due to this I am highly engaged in finding and supporting practicable and reasonable solutions that help persons with disabilities while at the same time being technically and economically feasible. Since 9 years I am closely following the implementation of the EU mandates M376, M283 and M273 and attended most accessibility related conferences. I was also active in the area of standardization, especially in ISO TC 159 WG2 and ISO JTC1 SWG-A. Nominated by the German government, I was member of the former Expert Group for Universal Design at the Council of Europe. During the last years I was involved in various accessibility related projects, both commercial and research projects, e.g. the european funded projects i2home, MonAMI, HAPTIMAP, …
