I am a senior energy transition executive with deep experience across asset management, JV governance, renewables, hydrogen, and energy infrastructure strategy, with a strong focus on system economics, tariff structures, and the integration of generation within constrained transmission networks. My career has been built at the intersection of operational discipline, capital allocation, and strategic growth. I have worked across major oil and gas assets, international joint ventures, decarbonisation advisory, renewable energy development, and emerging low‑carbon platforms. This gives me a practical understanding of how power systems move from policy ambition and demand forecasts into bankable generation, grid-aligned development, and deliverable capacity. I bring particular strength in navigating regulated and single-buyer environments—linking tariff frameworks, procurement design, and system constraints to portfolio strategy and investment decisions. My experience includes shaping regulatory economics, assessing dispatch and pricing dynamics, and understanding how transmission capacity, curtailment risk, and infrastructure readiness influence competitiveness, offtake structures, and long-term system cost. I am experienced in managing complex stakeholder environments, aligning government, regulators, and partners around commercially viable outcomes, and translating technical and economic uncertainty into clear portfolio choices. This includes asset and JV oversight, board-level reporting, CAPEX and OPEX governance, risk frameworks, and the development of energy transition business models. I am especially interested in leadership roles where utilities, central buyers, or developers are scaling clean generation while maintaining system reliability, cost efficiency, and delivery discipline across integrated generation and transmission portfolios. Leading strategy, planning and decarbonisation for OQ Alternative Energy, helping build a national alternative-energy platform across renewables, green hydrogen, grid-linked infrastructure and industrial decarbonisation. My role focuses on converting national energy-transition objectives into investable portfolios, governed execution roadmaps and delivery models that can move from opportunity identification through development, financing and FID. Key work includes shaping a portfolio roadmap for 6GW of wind and solar, 400 kpta of green hydrogen and multi-MWh ESCO energy savings contracts; defining capital allocation priorities, governance logic, delivery readiness criteria and performance tracking; and aligning development, finance, legal, delivery and asset management teams around executable growth options. Core team member/ contributor to the Integrated Energy Strategy for Oman (Ministry of Energy and Minerals), analyzing system economics, tariffs, and market structures to inform national policy and sector development. Led strategic regulatory economics and government interface, shaping tariff frameworks (BST and non-standard) to support energy transition objectives, while assessing impacts on portfolio strategy, procurement, and pricing, and developing policy positions and advocacy with regulators. Delivered industrial decarbonisation and energy transition programmes for hard-to-abate clients across oil and gas, chemicals and manufacturing. Led multiple ISO 50001 energy savings engagements, delivering client savings in the multi-MWh range with practical implementation plans, governance and performance tracking. Conducted technical and commercial due diligence on over 600MW of renewable energy projects, supporting investment decisions, project prioritisation and risk assessment. Developed Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions reduction programmes for industrial clients, identifying pathways to eliminate over 60% of emissions through energy efficiency, renewables, electrification, operational improvements and targeted capital investment. Advised investors on over US$170 million of renewable energy, energy efficiency, carbon credit and decarbonisation investments across infrastructure, chemicals, oil and gas, and manufacturing, helping progress opportunities through commercial assessment, risk review, investment structuring and delivery toward FID.
Delivered feasibility studies for wind, wave, tidal and solar projects exceeding 300MW, linked to over US$400 million of potential capital investment in generation and supporting infrastructure for built environment and infrastructure investment clients. Assessed technical feasibility, commercial viability, grid and delivery risks, and emissions impacts in line with ISO 14064 principles, translating complex project data into clear investment recommendations. Converted over 300MW of renewable project opportunities into board-ready investment cases, enabling clients to prioritize viable projects, test bankability, compare emissions benefits and make clearer go/no-go decisions. Built a global Energy Transition practice from the ground up, growing it into a 9-person, multi-disciplinary advisory team generating US$3 million in revenue. Established the strategy, service offerings, go-to-market model, client pipeline and delivery capability needed to scale a new advisory business across hydrogen, CCUS and zero-emissions power solutions. Provided strategic, commercial and engineering investment advice on energy transition projects totalling over US$1 billion, helping developers, investors and industrial clients assess bankability, delivery risk and execution readiness. Scaled advisory offerings across green and blue hydrogen, CCUS gathering and transport infrastructure, and CCUS policy support mechanisms, including economics, subsidy and tariff modelling. Supported partner technology commercialization, including H₂-capable turbines and zero-emissions power solutions, by aligning technical capability with customer needs and market demand.
Delivered a US$340 million gas field development to FID in Russia in partnership with Gazprom and Wintershall, expanding recoverable reserves by 40% and creating a clear investment pathway for long-term production growth. Held end-to-end accountability for the asset, integrating operating performance with field development delivery across subsurface, wells, facilities, projects, HSE, finance, supply chain and partner interfaces. Led the maturation of the development concept, including reservoir development planning, well delivery strategy, facilities tie-ins, compression and debottlenecking options, and capital phasing, ensuring the final investment case was technically robust, commercially disciplined and aligned with partner requirements. Maintained accountability for safe, reliable asset performance while managing OPEX discipline, CAPEX prioritization, stage-gate readiness, regulatory compliance and senior stakeholder alignment in a complex joint-venture operating environment.
Successfully transitioned OMV’s interest in the Yuzhno-Russkoye Gas Field from M&A transaction completion into active shareholder asset management, establishing a structured ISO 55000-aligned asset management framework for a major non-operated gas JV. Took accountability for embedding the operating model, governance routines and performance management processes required to manage the asset as a long-term value contributor, including production management and loss reporting, enterprise asset risk management, financial planning and control, non-operated JV governance, partner engagement and shareholder assurance. This created a disciplined platform for OMV to monitor asset performance, protect shareholder value, influence partner decisions and manage operational, financial and strategic risks across the asset life cycle.
