About

I am an undergraduate student in the Double Degree Computer Science at University of Waterloo and Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University program and am an aspiring actuary. Throughout my studies, coupled with my love for mathematics, I’ve developed a passion for the field of actuarial sciences. Having already successfully written exams P (Probability), FM (Financial Mathematics), SRM (Statistics for Risk Modelling), and FAM (Fundamentals of Actuarial Mathematics), from the Society of Actuaries (SOA), I am committed to attaining the ASA (and consequently, FSA) designation. Combined with my proficiency in Excel, Python, R, VBA, and other programming and statistical tools, I am eager to apply my analytical and technical skills to help drive informed business decisions and innovative solutions. In my most recent role at George Weston Limited, as a Risk Management Analyst, I had the honour of gaining valuable experience in the areas of actuarial science and risk management, through participation in negotiation and renewal meetings and presentations, as well as fulfillment of data-driven projects. Meanwhile, in my role at Flipp, as an Operations & Solutions Consultant, I was entrusted with leading a project aimed at redesigning and optimizing ticketing and request processes, as well as serving as the scrum master on numerous communication items. Moreover, during my experience at AutoTrader, as a Finance Reporting and Modelling Analyst, I was able to hone my ability to analyze large data sets efficiently and communicate complex ideas effectively, through extensive use of the Microsoft Office suite and regular reporting to senior management. Lastly, during my placement at MinuteBox, as a Technical Implementation Associate, I had the opportunity to apply my coding and problem-solving skills to real-world business projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. I completed the French Immersion program from Grade 1 through 12, receiving the French Immersion Certificate along with my Ontario Secondary School Diploma. I am also proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in Russian. Outside of work and academics, I like to challenge myself, whether that'd be mentally through a puzzle, riddle, or a game such as chess, or physically through a workout or sport, such as soccer, volleyball, or basketball. I'd love to connect with you, so feel free to send me an invite!
