With over 2 decades of experience in the music and publishing industry, I bring a strategic and innovative approach to my role as Global Head of b:electronic Publishing at Believe. Dedicated to enhancing the value of electronic music through cutting-edge services, I focus on delivering distribution, publishing, and creative solutions for our clients. My mission aligns with Believe’s commitment to empowering artists and fostering global opportunities through advanced technology and data-driven insights. At b:electronic Publishing, I collaborate with a passionate team to drive innovations like global tracking of club royalties and direct licensing deals with platforms such as Beatport. My expertise in business strategy and change management enables us to maximize client value and implement scalable solutions, ensuring artists benefit from comprehensive rights management and innovative royalty collection systems.
b:electronic is a dedicated multi rights brand operating within Believe Distribution / Sentric Music Group, offering distribution, publishing, neighbouring rights and creative services. The alignment will also allow focussed innovations such as global tracking of club royalties through delivery of metadata and sound files to Music Tracking services (and the subsequent collection of those royalties at scale), alongside our existing Beatport direct licensing deal. We are a team passionate about electronic music, working closely together to maximise value for our clients.
AFEM is a not-for-profit trade association created to represent the common interests of those companies and individuals whose business is Electronic Dance Music and to advocate best practice for the genre. AFEM’s commitment is to strengthen and further the genre by uniting its members, identifying key issues and providing one-voice to address and challenge them. The collective voice of the AFEM membership provides lobbying power where necessary for all legislative, commercial and industry issues as they relate to the genre. Specific committees made up of expert members in their respective fields will tackle a wide ranging agenda of issues including marketing, data, health and safety, codes of practice and the damaging effects of piracy. Through seminars and shared knowledge, AFEM will provide an educational platform from which to empower its members and help their businesses further thrive in an industry now turning over upwards of $6.2 billion globally. The association will also operate a ‘Friends of AFEM’ scheme, organising networking events and helping to connect not only members but also to the wider music business and commercial industries, its collective ambition being to advance the cause of Electronic Music.
