Mark Porter is a Senior Partner in the London office of Bain & Company. He co-founded and led the firm's Global Chemicals practice, which he now chairs, and is a member of the leadership team of the Global Energy & Natural Resources practice. With over two decades of management consulting experience, Mark advises global industry leaders on their biggest opportunities and challenges. He has extensive experience in strategy development and implementation, complexity and cost reduction, multi-year transformations, growth strategy and asset investment appraisals. He also specializes in all aspects of M&A for example due diligence, post-merger integration and portfolio management. His clients include both corporations and private equity investors. Prior to joining Bain & Company, Mark worked with Imperial Chemical Industries in operations and general management roles. Mark received a Masters in Engineering from Imperial College with First Class Honours. He also has an MBA from IMD Switzerland, where he was a Dean's List scholar. He is a chartered mechanical engineer. Outside of work Mark enjoys family time, sailing, music and forestry.
