Between 1990 and 2005 I held a range of senior technical roles within financial services and software start-up companies working within the UK, Belgium, France and USA. In 2005, I co-founded a web and mobile software company (Conscia Ltd) growing to annual revenues of £2m+ within 4 years - clients included: NHS, HBOS, Dell, Gleneagles and The London Clinic. In due course Conscia focused almost exclusively on healthcare and in consequence we were acquired by System C Healthcare Plc, and then by McKesson Corporation. From 2011 to 2013, I consulted for a new multi-billion dollar, state-of-the-art hospital in Qatar, Sidra. I supported a number of healthcare systems projects, with a focus on education, induction and supported the onboarding of healthcare professionals from across the globe. Since returning to the UK in 2013/14 I formed a new digital healthcare products company, Tactuum, with ex-colleagues, and set up offices in Seattle (US) and Glasgow (UK). Since then we have designed, developed and supported a range digital healthcare projects, with focus upon our own product (www.quris.com) which has been licensed to a number of high-profile healthcare systems across the US, including: WA, MI, LO, CO - as well as nationally within NHS Scotland. My interests are in designing solutions that make a difference today.
