The Gambia
As the Editor in Chief of The New Publishing Standard (TNPS), a global publishing industry journal published by StreetLib, I offer insights and analysis of the latest trends and developments in the book market worldwide. With over 15 years of experience as a book author global publishing industry observer, and decades as a journalist and teacher, I help publishers, authors, and service providers understand and navigate the opportunities and challenges of the digital era. I am also a self-taught and self-motivated author, with multiple international best-selling titles and a leading authority on the global publishing markets as they pertain to indie authors. I have written the first and only indie title to hit No. 1 on Amazon Kindle China, and the biggest-selling indie title in the UK in 2011. My passion for publishing extends beyond fiction and non-fiction writing, as I am also interested in education, children's rights, and child welfare. I am the director of the not-for-profit ACEF Children First project in The Gambia, where I live under picture-postcard blue skies. The ACEF Children First - motto: Inspire, Enable, Empower - is showing the world that African children from even the poorest backgrounds, can achieve as well as any child in Europe or America, given the right encouragement and right teaching practices, even without the fancy resources First World countries take for granted.
I offer insights and analysis of global book publishing news and developments.
