Mark Werner is a consultant in the financial services sector working as an Advisor with the Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company and as a Senior Advisor to Alphadyne Asset Management. He is the former CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder of Amherst Pierpont Securities LLC, a Primary Dealer that specializes in the trading, underwriting, and distribution of fixed income securities. The firm was funded with private equity and partner capital and sold to Santander Holdings USA. Mark is a board member of Santander Holdings USA. Mark has spent over 30 years in the financial services industry and previously served as the Head of Global Markets and Chief Executive Officer for Bank of America Securities at the Bank of America Corporation, and prior to that, was head of NA Interest Rate Markets and Vice Chairman of JP Morgan Securities, Inc. He currently works with three private companies; Hamburg Commercial Bank, AG as a supervisory board member, FirstKey Homes, LLC as a board member and as an advisor to CCF Banque. Previously, he served as a director for BrokerTec, GlobalBased and Tradeweb. Throughout his career, Mr. Werner has been involved with industry boards and interest groups working on common issues among member financial services organizations for the betterment of the industry. He is a past board member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). He was also a member and past division chairman of the Bond Market Association. In service to the public sector, Mr. Werner was a member and past chairman of the U.S. Treasury's Borrowing Advisory Committee (a Federal Advisory Committee). The purpose of this committee is to meet with the Secretary of the Treasury and his staff as well as the Chair of the Federal Reserve Board and his staff to advise them on the management of federal debt. At the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Werner is a Trustee emeritus and a Vice Chairman of the Athletics Board of Advisors.
