Mark is a Transportation Planning Manager with the University of Texas at Austin Center for Transportation Research. He leads efforts of the Texas Technology Task Force, an advisory body to TxDOT in areas of innovative emerging transportation and mobility technologies. Working closely with industry leaders Mark has contributed to research reports on topics including, connected vehicle deployments in Texas, mobility solutions for rural Texans, electric vehicle infrastructure and battery capabilities, and hydrogen as a next generation fuel. Further, Mark organizes and executes Texas Technology Task Force meetings on a quarterly basis, spearheading agenda development and speaker outreach and coordination. With attendance ranging from 60-80, these meetings serve as a platform for TxDOT to engage with dynamic subject matter experts, harnessing Task Force member expertise, to discuss emerging topics that are particularly relevant to the Texas mobility system. With a dynamic professional career, Mark has developed a wide skill set, connecting with stakeholders, composing research efforts, and idea creation for the betterment of Texas mobility.
