In that vein, I have run multiple IT departments, developed new initiatives to support the business, complex logistics, services implementation projects, software development teams, and I am familiar with several software platforms in use today as well as with creating and maintaining applications and infrastructure. As the IT Director at Allseas, I am overall responsible for all IT-related topics, with a clear focus on developing IT capabilities to ensure that Allseas remains at the forefront of technological innovation and tooling advancements. My role involves leading a dedicated team to deliver the most effective solutions for customers, employees, and partners across the organization. We introduced several key initiatives. Introducing Kubernetes to modernize our infrastructure and enable scalability. Developing proprietary software, tailored to the unique needs of the organization, reducing dependency on external vendors. Transitioning from on-premise and unsupported legacy systems to cloud-based solutions wherever feasible, improving system reliability and scalability. Implementing Agile Scrum methodologies across multiple teams, driving more efficient project management and faster time-to-market for solutions. A central focus of my role is building a high-performance IT team capable of seamlessly adopting and integrating new technologies, while continuously improving on existing tools and systems. This approach ensures that Allseas can adapt swiftly to the rapidly evolving tech landscape and meet the growing needs of the business. Setting up a CERT team (Computer Emergency Response Team) to enhance cybersecurity preparedness and ensure rapid response to potential threats. Overall responsible for a team that designs, develops, implements and runs worldwide IT solutions for APMT. As a team we focus on Finance, Maintenance, Asset management and Procurement solutions. We develop, built, maintain and support modern, agile and maintainable solutions. My team is located worldwide and we proactively support the needs of APMT to deliver the best solutions to our customers.
Responsible to ensure that the required Damco IT capabilities are conceived, built and/or selected. Among others also responsible for integrating and testing these solutions. The team has been able to speed up the above processes and also to improve the quality of what was delivered. We reduced the time-to-market of changes and upgrades, from months to weeks. We also implemented several new customer driven solutions successfully in a timely manner.
