Mark Stephenson spent the first 20 years of his career in advertising and communication. In 2005, he began consulting for Sandstorm, and by 2007, he was so captivated by the business's potential that he left consultancy, invested in Sandstorm, and joined as Managing Director. He permanently relocated to Nairobi in 2008 and has since dedicated himself to building Sandstorm into a Kenyan brand of international quality. Under his leadership, the company has experienced tremendous growth, leading to a new challenge focused on craft, creativity, and culture. This resulted in the birth of Opportunity Factory, empowering and creating more opportunities for incredible Kenyans. The Opportunity Factory continues to be run by the team at Sandstorm Kenya.
