About

Mark and his wife, Natasha live at the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park where they own and operate Colorado Cottages. Prior to moving to Colorado Mark taught criminal law and criminal justice for 17 years at Lone Star College where he twice won the Faculty Excellence Award and was nominated for the highest teaching honor in Texas, the Piper Award, in 2011. Prior to his academic career Mark was a Houston Police Officer, a corporate attorney at BakerBotts and, and an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas, where he tried over 75 jury trials. Mark holds graduate degrees in law and theology and is the author of The Gospel According to Christ: The Message of Jesus and How We Missed It (Wipf & Stock, 2011). He is the founder of The Center For Advanced Christian Studies and regularly contributes to the website, thinkingaboutchristianity.com.
