I worked as the lead veterinarian in a small town in the UK called Seaham, where I was the only permanent vet on staff. This role meant I handled the majority of surgeries throughout the year, including more complex procedures like laparoscopic spays. I also did consultations for the practice. Because the clients in the UK had access to comprehensive medical care for their pets, we could perform a wider range of diagnostic tests, thanks to the additional funding available for treatments.
