Mark has 5 years in Information Technology with system administration, IT operations, and carchitecting cloud infrastructure architecture as a core competency. As part of his assignments, he has been involved in Non-Functional Requirement Analysis, Strategy & Design, and working alongside developers to deliver applications for Production. He has strong client communication, business communication, and interpersonal skills to interact with various business stakeholders. He acquired diverse experience while working with various start-ups in Nairobi. He is currently working as an associate Information officer at Impact Africa Network. Additionally, I am a co-organizer of the AWS user group Tech community.

1. Develop an IT strategy to meet engineering needs and establish a long-term portfolio strategy for Impact Africa Network. 2. Part of the team that oversees fiscal-year planning to deliver on all strategic engineering initiatives 3. Translate engineering stakeholder needs into detailed technical requirements and architectural fits, leveraging vendor solutions to meet objectives. 4. Actively monitor, manage, and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS includes; EC2, S3, and RDS including backups, patches, and scaling. 5. Manage the organization's CRM, Google workspace, and other software development tools. 6. Assist in CI/CD operations by creating data pipelines in a Blue-Green deployment while leveraging AWS tools. 7. Work with a team of developers using an Agile Framework that continuously and efficiently delivers progress and value in various innovative projects using Jira.
My role includes: 1.Aws Setup & Architecture 2. Create cloud formation templates to provision and configure the necessary resources to facilitate deployments. 3. Actively monitor, manage, and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS, EC2, S3, and RDS including backups, patches, and scaling. 4. Perform Monitoring and Event Management on AWS workloads while also facilitating patching and continuity within an AWS Account 5. Managing SSL Installations and renewals of various classes of SSL certificates. 6. Managing OS upgrades and migrations. 7. Configuring web servers, application servers, and database servers as per project need. 8. Work across product & infrastructure to make sure services are reliable & scalable.
