With over 30 years experience in construction I fully understand the industry as a whole. My specialism is in every aspect of Quantity Surveying; providing value management, cost control and advising on procurement strategy, identifying and analysing commercial project risks. Recent specific projects have involved a mixture of residential, commercial, educational and health sectors.
In my role I was responsible for preparing tenders and supporting subcontract documents, with tasks such as advising on the procurement strategy; feasibility studies; performing risk value management; cost control tasks and allocating work to subcontractors. Recent specific projects have involved a mixture of residential, commercial, educational and health sectors. I also identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks; analyse project outcomes and compile detailed progress reports.
The work comprised of demolition, conservation and construction of 50 one and two bedroom apartments within a former Grade II listed Co-operative building. Contract Value £4m
In strategic partnership with Durham County Council, working on design and build special (EBD) school including infrastructure, external works and landscaping.
Various projects including demolition of existing building and construction of 191 student accommodation units, design and construction of 26 one and two bedroom flats, revitalisation of a 3-storey Victoria building comprising 21 classrooms.
