Internationally experienced, in both emerging markets and western Europe, where he has advised on, structured and financed over $8 billion and 8,000MW of infrastructure energy projects. Mark set-up and ran the power and renewable energy project finance team at Investec and the cleantech & environment sector team for a leading private equity firm. As Chief Investment Officer for Gridserve Sustainable Energy, a leading developer, owner and operator of an integrated net-zero ecosystem of solar and battery assets, supplying their Electric Vehicle charging stations, he has first-hand experience of funding a business from start-up Series A through private equity and infrastructure investment, alongside project and infrastructure financings. For a number of years was chair of the board of trustees and the investment committee for Pure Leapfrog, a community energy charity that provides funding and professional support for low carbon, high social impact projects. Mark is a well-known member of the London clean energy finance community and a regular conference speaker, who has written articles for a number of specialist financial publications.
