In essence, mankind cannot exist without taking risks. In order to survive you need to adapt, which basically means continuously adjusting to a new way of living. But, when risks are taken properly chances of success increase... Since the start of my professional career I have been interested in balancing & optimizing risk and return. In theory quite a logical thing. In practise more difficult to implement or adhere to. The more complex the environment, like in banking or more broadly the financial industry, the harder balancing proves to be. In those environments I excel. Combining or better said linking different parts of this (external) environment and (internal) chains of people, systems and processes is what I do best. Over the last years, I have been managing and leading professionals in order to achieve ambitious goals. More importantly I was able to let them grow and become even better professionals. 'Leaders are more powerful role models when they learn than when they teach'.
