Mark is an international Director of Photography, Visual Consultant, Cinematographer, Photographer and Guest Lecturer, works all over the world and is based in the Cologne area, Germany. In 2001 Mark relocated to Berlin where he studied cinematography at BHT (formerly TFH) University of Applied Sciences and graduated in 2005 (diploma, Director of Photography). He has since worked as a freelancer on various productions both domestically and abroad. In 2025 and 2026 students of the Lit-Wiss-degree-course at University of Konstanz, under the direction of Dr. Sarah Seidel and in collaboration with the Wieland Stiftung, represented by Dr. Kerstin Bönsch, worked on an exhibition called: Warum wir lesen, was wir lesen. The exhibition includes several short films, eventually screened in the Wieland-Museum. Grand opening on June 23rd 2026. Mark supported the students producing their projects, in regard of visuals, sounds, content, style and drama.
