Mark is a senior manager specialising in Financial Services, with more than 10 years of professional experience working with PwC Singapore (including 27 months working in PwC Melbourne, Australia), and has had extensive experience working on the financial audits and internal control audits of banks, commodities trading houses, securities houses, investment management companies and unit trusts, and currently specialises in the audits of clients in the banking and capital market industry. Mark has also worked with start-ups, fintech and payment companies, and was recently involved in the digital banking license attestation process of one of the successful applicants of the new digital banks in Singapore. He was the lead senior manager coordinating with and advising the client, and continues to be heavily involved in the current implementation process of the new digital bank. Mark is the lead senior manager of the Singapore operations of two globally systemically important banks (G-SIBs), and is responsible for key deliverables from across different lines of services (i.e. regulatory compliance, valuation, IT, tax, etc.). He also works closely with cross-border teams from around the world, including Australia, UK, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and the USA. Aside from statutory audits, Mark also has experience working on regulatory and compliance engagements, such as identifying control design and operational effectiveness deficiencies via the Auditor Long Form Report that is reported to senior management and submitted to the MAS, Internal Control Reports to clients in Singapore, and GS007 reports during his time in Australia. Mark was also a member of the Junior Board from August 2017 to July 2019, taking on the roles of Communications Officer in his first year and Vice-Chairperson in his second year. As part of the Junior Board, he organised firmwide events, and took a lead role in proposing and implementing changes in the organisation.
