Hello! My name is Mark (nickname Marko) and I am a bioengineer, passionate about the overlap of medicine and engineering. I have a diverse work background spanning projects in oncology, immunotherapy, dialysis, and COVID-19. I am currently in the Medical Science Training Program at the University of California, San Diego, hoping to pursue my passions in medical imaging, interventional radiology/cardiology, and bioengineering for unmet clinical needs. I also enjoy running and exploring in my free time!

- Stoyanova Lab, a prostate cancer lab in the department of radiology - Work alongside and assist post-doctorate fellows to identify new cell receptors for early detection of prostate cancer - Thesis project examining Plectin gene’s role in prostate cancer metastasis in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo - Experience in tissue culture, benchtop assays, lab animal handling
- Experience in outdoor and indoor waterparks, water polo tournaments, natatoriums, lakes, and more - Swim lesson instruction and pool maintenance - Instruct comprehensive and blended American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses
- Tutor and the residential go-to for high schoolers who take regular courses at Stanford University - Coordinate the program, work with the budget, and oversee other residential advisors
