Formway Group Metering is a specialist provider of electricity metering hardware and electricity meter laboratory services to the Australian and New Zealand region. I form part of the Field Services team based in East Brisbane. My main duties include but are not limited to the testing, installation and programming of new domestic & commercial kWh meters and relays according to Energex specifications, attending to emergency work and repairs on the Energex network and performing safety inspections and repairs consumer mains and switchboards. Other duties include: • Emergency work on Energex network (loss of supply, flickering lights, cold-water complaints & hazardous situations) • Disconnection and reconnection of power • Tariff installation and testing • Polarity testing on new installations, renovations and connections • Client liaison & data entry on notebooks • Current CPR, Switchboard Rescue, Pole Top Rescue and White card • WAMS training (Energex) • Knowledge of AS3000 and Energex construction • Monitoring and ensuring safe work practices

I was employed as a dual trade technician (Electrical & Mechanical) and promoted to the Shift Supervisor and further then promoted to an Electrical Specialist.
