I started off a an Assistant winemaker where I was challenged to learn how to work as a adult. Next I worked as a head waiter. The most important thing I learned, is how to interact with clients and how to enforce rules while still keeping them happy. After covid I worked on a dairy farm, while I waited for my Electrician course to start. The most important thing I learned there was how to be in a leadership position. Currently I am working as an Electrical Apprentice. Through my electrical course, I had the privilege of working as an apprentice at few different companies. I learned … well what it means to be an “appy”. I learned that communication, paperwork and people is part of a company’s back bone. I learned that there is a time to speak and a time to be quiet. I learned what to do, and what not to do when you feel offended. I have truly been at the bottom of the business ladder. Through my 4 odd years of working experience I have a rough Idea of what good management looks like and what bad management looks like. I have great plans for my future. I am not sure what the journey ahead looks like, what I do know is this: No journey worth walking is easy.
